Domestic and international travelers arriving in Bogotá in September 2025 will be able to enjoy a diverse lineup of world-class cultural events and performances that strengthen the city’s position as the cultural and creative capital of Latin America. To celebrate Tourism Month—coinciding with the Month of Love and Friendship—a public-private partnership and comprehensive tourism and cultural promotion strategy has been established by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, the Secretariat of Culture, Recreation and Sports (SCRD), the District Institute of the Arts (Idartes), the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra, Red Bull, Páramo, and the District Institute of Tourism (IDT).
The program includes the First Philharmonic Hip-Hop Concert, the Cordillera Festival, the First International Art Biennial, the Bogotá International Art Fair (ARTBO), Al Parque Festivals, the Bogotá International Festival of Sacred Music, and the Bogotá Music Market (BOmm). This lineup adds to the city’s permanent calendar of cultural events — available at www.visitbogota.co — and reflects the interests of international visitors to the capital. According to the 2024 Travelers Survey, conducted by the Bogotá Tourism Observatory, the top activities among foreign tourists were cultural, historical, and architectural experiences (73.2%); followed by local gastronomy (62.1%) and nature experiences (54.2%).
Major international events also foster economic and creative development, strengthen local identity, and encourage citizen participation through cultural experiences that connect people with the region while honoring UNESCO’s designation of Bogotá as a Creative City of Music.
Philharmonic Hip Hop
The first activity will take place on September 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Mirador El Paraíso, located in Ciudad Bolívar, south of Bogotá, at the final station of the innovative TransMiCable. In an unprecedented event in our history, a group of urban artists from this district, supported by Red Bull, will present the First Philharmonic Hip Hop Concert alongside the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra. This event strongly boosts Ciudad Bolívar as a destination for cultural and community tourism, offering experiences similar to those of Medellín’s Comuna 13. Various organizations and collectives lead urban art tours featuring dozens of murals that narrate how, in this Bogotá district, tourism and investments in infrastructure have become tools for economic development and social inclusion.
Cordillera Festiva
Between September 13 and 14, the third edition of the Cordillera Festival will take place. Simón Bolívar Metropolitan Park will welcome thousands of visitors—over 75,000 in 2024, according to Páramo Presenta, the event's organizer—for a stellar lineup. Fito Páez, Carlos Vives, Rubén Blades, Miguel Bosé, the legendary Argentine rock band Serú Girán—reuniting after more than 30 years—Orishas, Gipsy Kings, and La Mosca Tsé Tsé are among the guest artists. International Art Biennial
The First International Art and City Biennial — BOG25 — positions Bogotá on the global art circuit, alongside major world capitals such as São Paulo, Venice, and Sydney, each with renowned biennials. From September 20 to November 9, 2025, BOG25 will invite citizens and visitors to dialogue and reinterpret Bogotá's public space in poetic, disruptive, and creative ways. This event seeks to foster and strengthen the city's visual and plastic arts, architecture, and design ecosystem. It will bring together established national and international artists, curators, and independent creators, as well as popular art projects and neighborhood interventions selected through an open call. The biennial, led by the Mayor's Office through the Secretariat of Culture, Recreation, and Sports (SCRD), will feature Mexico City as the guest of honor. More information at www.bienalbogota.com.
ARTBO 2025
From September 25 to 28, 2025, the Bogotá International Art Fair (ARTBO) brings national and international galleries, curators, artists, and the public together in one of Latin America's most important and innovative cultural exchange and research platforms. Each year, thanks to its focus on quality and diversity, it offers one of Colombia's most significant cultural showcases for the visual arts. It has become the central hub of the region's art circuit. For these reasons, it is considered one of the must-see events on the global art circuit. The event will take place from September 25 to 28 at Ágora Bogotá - Convention Center (Ac. 24 #38-47). More information at www.artbo.co
Al Parque Festivals and Sacred Music
Al Parque Festivals are an iconic series of free open-air events in Bogotá, organized by the District Institute of the Arts (IDARTES). They celebrate musical diversity while promoting the use of public space, coexistence, and civic culture. Since their debut with Rock al Parque in 1995, they have become an inclusive, freely accessible cultural landmark that honors Colombia’s musical and folkloric heritage while embracing international genres such as jazz and hip hop. This year, Jazz al Parque’s turn will be on September 6 and 7 at El Virrey Park (Calle 88 between Carrera 7a and Autopista Norte). Its program will explore the deep relationship between jazz and the city as a space for diverse identities to interact and create new cultural and musical directions.
From September 10 to October 5, the city will also host the 2025 Bogotá International Sacred Music Festival—an annual, multi-religious celebration that will bring together more than 750 artists from 20 countries, performing on over 30 stages across Bogotá, including the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo (Calle 170 No. 67 - 51). The festival’s program features 50 events with soloists, ensembles, orchestras, and professional choirs from five continents.
The second edition of Popular al Parque will take place on September 27 and 28 at Simón Bolívar Park. Its program will highlight sounds from Mexico and Colombia, giving a platform to the artists and traditions that keep alive a musical heritage that originated in the mountains of Antioquia and now resonates across the country.

Bogotá Music Market (BOmm)
The 14th edition of the Bogotá Music Market (BOmm) is here: a program run by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce that serves as a marketplace for the music sector, connecting Colombian artists with the national and international music industry to generate business and create opportunities for circulation and promotion. It is a platform where artists, managers, bookers, record labels, buyers, and brands come together to exchange ideas, make deals, expand professional networks, and discover new Colombian music. It will take place from September 9 to 12. More information at www.bogotamusicmarket.com/
